Attention: Shippers/ Receivers
By choosing to ship with The Box Man Logistics, you confirm that you have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions outlined below.
Minimum Charge
- Based on a box size of 20x20x20 inches, packed flat and square, regardless of weight.
- Balikbayan Box is not provided; boxes can be purchased at the origin country. We recommend STAR Balikbayan Brand for its durability.
- All boxes are subject to measurement upon arrival at Auckland port of entry.
Payment
- Nothing is payable at origin. All payments are due in Auckland prior to delivery via bank deposit or bank transfer.
Pick Up Charges
- A processing fee of NZ$180.00 (Brokerage Fee) applies for both commercial and individual importers.
- There is also a NZD$59.70 Import Transaction Fee plus $5 per line of entry.
Customs Processing Fee
- Pickup in Manila, Cebu, or the USA is not free.
- Shippers can opt to deliver their box to our warehouse to avoid pickup fees, which are payable in New Zealand.
- Pickup is available only within Metro Manila where our Manila or Cebu office can provide guidance.
- There is no pickup service in the USA; shippers must deliver to our depot.
Pickup and Delivery
- Pickup and delivery are limited to one address. If shipping multiple boxes, they must all be marked to one recipient.
Packing List
- Shippers must provide a packing list upon collection or delivery to our depot.
- Packing list should include the name, address, and phone number of both the shipper and the receiver in New Zealand.
- Prohibited items include liquids, batteries, medicines, gasses, foams, aerosols, cigarette lighters, cigarettes, or any tobacco products.
- WARNING: Under NZ Customs Law, imitation or fake branded items are prohibited and will be confiscated. Failure to declare may result in penalties or imprisonment.
Food and Special Items
- If bringing food, used vacuum cleaners, used camping or sporting equipment, garden tools, bikes, cigarettes, or liquor, please refer to the MPI guidelines on food imports (link to MPI website).
- Additional MPI inspection fees and NZ Customs Tax and Duty apply.
- Seasonings are classified as food.
- Processing fees and GST may also apply.
Additional Charges
- Any charges for MPI quarantine inspection, treatment, customs duty, or tax, along with our Import Transaction fee, must be paid to our account to secure clearance and delivery.
Box Size and Weight
- Charges are based on box size, not weight. All boxes should be packed “flat and square” without overfilling. Overfilled or odd-sized boxes are accepted, but extra charges apply, calculated on a pro-rata basis.
Delivery Charges
- Charges include delivery within Metro areas (city proper or within a 30km radius of the central Post Office). Rural deliveries (RD) are not included and may incur a surcharge. In some cases, the owner/consignee may be required to collect the cargo from the courier’s depot.
Insurance
- Our rates do not include insurance, and shipping is at the shipper’s risk. We do not recommend shipping valuable, breakable or fragile items.
Commercial Consignment
- The above rates and terms do not apply to commercial consignments (goods intended for sale or in commercial quantities). For such shipments, please contact us for separate terms and conditions.
Storage
- 3 days of free storage are provided from the date of goods clearance. You will be notified once your box is cleared and ready for delivery.
Abandoned Consignment
- The consignee is required to take possession of the boxes/packages within 30 days from the delivery notice. After this period, the company reserves the right to sell, dispose of, or destroy the boxes/packages.
Shipping Schedule
- Scheduled shipping dates (arrival/departure) may change without prior notice.
